True North worked with Buckingham Properties to expand and improve upon their existing site structure to allow for a great deal of additional content as well as more information to be introduced with in the property detail pages which in turn enhanced the search tools included on the new web site. With the new structure in place, True North designed an engaging and professional look and feel for the site that sets it apart from other sites in the marketplace.

The new site has a number of additional features/functionalities that were not present in the existing web site. The feedback from the previous site was positive enough that the features were built onto what was existing in order to maintain what users liked about the site to offer them more. Some of the spot light features are:

Enhanced Search Functionality – The search of properties and spaces is crucial in navigating around the site quickly. Especially if you are a user that is interested in a specific type of property. To improve upon the search the new site now includes an integrate google mapping component. This mapping functionality allows for users to search via the map or check to see where a property location is using a Google Map. This is an incredibly useful feature for those users who are not familiar with Rochester.

Expanded Detail Pages – The property and space detail pages were not offering enough information. So the new site now has a robust admin tool for Buckingham Properties to include much more information on the detail pages. These pages each have set information that can be entered as well as a custom area that can have text and even downloadable documents.

Suggested Spaces – The ability to cross sell on a site like this is very important. You always want to make it easier for a user to find exactly what they want. The new site now displays additional properties with like features for users to click to if the property they are looking at doesn't quite suit their needs.

Content Management – For a site of this size, maintaining can sometimes be complicated and time consuming. The new web site has a content management admin suite that is simple to use and makes maintaining the site much easier and faster. The new suite of tools makes adding properties and even content pages a snap.

This particular web site took one year from concept to completion and was officially launched in August 2009. Since that date True North has been working with Buckingham Properties on SEO elements and refining various aspects of the site and its functionality.
